都市が攻撃されると、火災の発生する可能性がある。その根拠地の上にマウスカーソルをのせると、敵の工業の数値のすぐ上に火災の規模が表示される。都市のマンパワーへの攻撃は、その根拠地の工業に損害を与える大きな規模の火災を起こす可能性がある。火災の規模の最大値は4000万で、消火活動により12時間ごとに10分の1になってゆく。非常に大きな規模の火災は損害を与え続けることがある。目標となる根拠地のマンパワー値が大きいほど、火災嵐を発生させるのが容易になる。
とあります。338の火災も今朝は44で、たしかに消火活動で火災の規模は10分の1になっています。このまま鎮火するのでしょう。工業に被害を及ぼす可能性があるとのことですが、大した火災ではなかったので、幸い油田と精油所には被害がありませんでした。
前回、艦砲射撃を試みた時に連合軍の水上戦闘艦隊に迎撃されて痛い目にあったので、艦砲射撃TFをエスコートするように長門と陸奧基幹のTFを動かしました。途中でStraits/Hong級 xAP Hong Peng(tonnage 3330, VP 7)とPacific S Cargo級 xAKL Beatrice(tonnage 1700, VP 3)と出会って撃沈しましたが、この位置で商船が何をしていたのか不明です。マラッカ海峡を突破してインド方面へ逃げるつもりだったんでしょうか?
ミッドウエイの泊地にSSXを潜入させましたが、DD Reidに発見されて爆雷攻撃を受け、沈没しました。ミッドウエイにSSXを潜入させたのは2度目なので、さすがに対策をたてていました。連合軍潜水艦は活発に活動していて、昨日は福岡から大連へ向かうコンボイがSS Salmonに攻撃され、Aden Cargo級 xAK Yamahuzi Maru(tonnage 4875, VP 10)が撃沈されました。またその後、ラバウルへ向かう船団がトラック近海でSS Pompanoに攻撃され、 Aden Cargo級 xAK Ryuzan Maru(tonnage 4875, VP 10)がサプライ4893トンとともに沈みました。
