ボルネオ島東側のマカッサル海峡と、このカムラン湾の東側が今のところ連合軍SSの主な狩り場になっています。 昭和17年1月7日、カムラン湾周辺でASWに従事していたDD InazumaがオランダのSS KXVに雷撃され命中、即沈没してしまいました。 ASW TFの僚艦のDD Shikinamiが爆雷攻撃をしましたが、SS KXVに深く潜行されて、爆雷はずっと上の方で爆発してしまって効果はありませんでした。開戦時の日本の駆逐艦は、そもそも爆雷を装備していないのもいるんですよね。また爆雷を装備していてもType 95 Depth Chrg(range 164)装備だとごらんの通りですし、Type 95 Mod-2 DC(range 295)でも深海ヘクスだとまず戦果は期待できません。Type 2 Depth Chrg(range 476)を装備する艦船の出現が待たれます。ところで、 この”Depth Charge pattern detonates above sub depth...”という表示って前回のPBEMでは見た覚えがありませんが、ベータパッチで追加されたものでしょうか?
ジョホールバルから行軍していた部隊がシンガポールに今日到着しました。ジョホール水道を越えての移動なので、渡河の扱いとなり強制的にshock attackさせられます。fortificationのせいもあってスコアは1対2と劣勢で、連合軍の死傷者1980名に対して日本側は6341名と大きな被害が出ました。多くの歩兵部隊はdisruptionもfatigueも60ちかくまで上昇してしまったので、攻撃再開には一週間程度は休養をとらせなければならない感じです。でもdeviceの被害数をみてみると、例えば連合軍のSquadsの損失が93 destroyed, 125 disabledに対して、日本側は28 destroyed, 361 disabledと、破壊されてしまったdeviceの数は総じて連合軍の方が多いので、休養をとらせれば何とかなるでしょう。それにしてもシンガポールは1月いっぱいで落とせるかどうかといったところでしょうか。前回は1月11日には占領できましたが、連合軍側のやり方一つでかなり変わるようです。
今日はポートモレスビーとアンボンにB-17の空襲があり、今月から使用可能になるB-17Eが早くも登場しました。リプレイを見ていると高度10000フィートとはいえ、珍しくFLAKがB-17を撃墜していました。コンバットリポートでは1機撃墜になっていますが、リプレイでは2機撃墜していて、Trarckerの方でもFLAKで2機撃墜したと表示されていました。これでB-17Dの損失は19機(Air 6, FLAK 2, ground 6, Ops loss 5)。B-17でもD型やE型はまだなんとか時々は落とせるようです。
