昭和18年1月11日、ルーガンビルは飛行場規模1、港規模2になり、すでに戦闘機が三十数機みえます。このペースだと、あと一週間くらいでLBの運用ができる飛行場規模4になってしまう気がします。また、ルーガンビルのヘクスから連合軍の空母TFが消えました。ヌーメア方面に移動したようで、ルーガンビルからヌーメアに向かう途中にいたRO-68が艦載機に爆弾を命中させられ、Sys 39, Flt 7(2), Eng 6(2)のダメージを受けてラバウルに向け退避することとなりました。空母からのCAPがなくなっていると思われるので、ルーガンビルには嫌がらせ爆撃を試みたいと思います。
中国戦線のIchang(宜昌)から侵入してきた中国軍ですが、Nanyang(南陽)ではなくAnkang(安康)方面に向かうようです。15部隊で合計20万もの大軍ですが、安康に向かう道路が森林ヘクスに入るところで侵攻を食い止められないか模索中です。南陽から部隊を向かわせるのですが、道路を通ると中国軍と平地のヘクスで鉢合わせしてしまうので、あえて真西に道路のないヘクスを進ませることにしました。目標のヘクスには川を越えて移動することになりますが、こちらが先占しているヘクスですから、shock attackにはならないですよね。
中国軍部隊は爆撃の被害を軽減するためにmoveではなくcombat modeで移動しているようで動きはゆっくりです。地上部隊が対峙する前に少しでもダメージを与えておくために毎日爆撃しています。今日は、漢口・西安・開封・青島などから40機のKi-21-IIa Sallyと56機のKi-49-IIa Helenが出撃。快晴で6000フィートという低空から爆撃しているにも関わらず、爆撃の成果は、死傷者400名、歩兵のdestroyedが1分隊とdisabledが37分隊、後方要員のdestroyedが1とdisabledが19だけと少ないのはcombat modeのためでしょう。ただ、平地ヘクスなので森林ヘクスにいる時よりはダメージが大きいようです。
また今日は、マップ南東端に近い周囲に島影もない南東太平洋のまっただ中、パナマからオーストラリアへ向かう航路の途中で、I-16がxAK Day Star(tonnage 3050, VP 6)を撃沈しました。この貨物船はTransmarine Cargo級で、日本側だと14ノットのPBに改装できるxAK Anshu-C Cargo級(tonnage 2980, VP 6)に相当する船です。あいかわらず、後方の連合軍商船は独航しています。
