昭和18年1月17日、稚内から豊原に戻るコンボイのxAKL Shino Maru(Kasu-D級, tonnage 1900, VP 3)が豊原南東でSS S-30に撃沈されました。そして、リプレイの終了間際に沈没音がしました。日本側でこの日に沈んだのはxAKL Shino Maruだけなので、連合軍側の艦船だと思われます。Trackerを見ると、SS SpearfihとSS Hakeの2隻が沈んだことになっていました。SS Spearfishは今日のASW戦闘でhits 5、SS Hakeは昨日のASW戦闘でhit 1なので、本当に沈んだのはSS Spearfishの方かな。
中国戦線でも動きがありました。以前、悪夢の昭和17年大晦日というエントリーでも紹介しましたが、西安北西2ヘクスの地点で日中双方の大部隊が対峙しています。兵力の劣る日本側は、中国軍にfatigue, disruptionを与えるために毎ターン砲撃しています。今日も砲撃で

となりました。いつもはこれでリプレイが終わりになるのですが、今日は引き続いて中国軍のshock attackがありました。

日本側の素のAVは1957で山岳地形やfortificationなどで補正されて4813、それに対して中国軍の素のAVは5209ですが修正後のAVはたった3しかありません。このため戦力比は1対1604と大きく差がつき、日本側が184名の死傷だったのに対して、中国軍には8563名と大量の死傷者が出ました。中国側の補正後のAVがびっくりするほど低い値だったのは、このshock attackが渡河にともなう強制的なshock attackだったからだと思われます。
ここ数日このヘクスの西側から中国軍部隊が移動してきているのが見えていました。どんな大軍がやってきているのかと心配していたのですが、昨日のこのヘクスで砲撃した時のリポートと今日のリポートを比較すると、14th Chinese Corpsという一部隊だけが渡河してきたようです。14th Chinese Corpsは開戦時重慶にいた部隊で、ヒマラヤ越えに空輸されたサプライで戦力を充実させて、ここに移動してきたのかなと思われます。14th Chinese CorpsのTOEを見ると100%充足しても歩兵は837分隊しかなく、今回の中国軍の歩兵の損害の合計868分隊より少なくなっています。これまでの日本側の経験では、渡河にともなう強制的なshock attackの際には、渡河した部隊だけでなく渡河した先のヘクスにいる部隊も被害を受けたので、今回の結果もそれを反映しているのでしょう。
WhatsNew.pdfのパッチ3(V1.01.02a – February 28, 2010)の修正リストを見ると
50 Gameplay Change：渡河にともなう強襲の変更、元のルールに戻した。あるヘクスに渡河して移動する際には、目的のヘクスに移動したユニットは渡河を完了するターンに自動的にshock attackをする。防御側の素のAVの三分の一以上のAVのユニットが、直前のターンに同一のヘクスサイドを通して移動していれば、shock attackせずに済む。
とあり、上記と矛盾しませんから、解釈としてはこれでいいのかなと思います。ただし、私としてはそれでもかなり驚きました。というのも、この戦闘の起きたヘクスはもともと中国軍部隊がいた地点です。そこに日本側が侵入してきて対峙することになったわけで、ヘクスの支配権は中国側にあります。自軍の支配下のヘクスに移動するのに、渡河したからといって自動的にshock attackになってしまうとは思ってもみなかったのです。しかしよくよく見直してみると、以前開戦一周年記念日の大敗北というエントリーで紹介しましたが、昭和17年12月7日にこの同じルートで日本側がこのヘクスにむけて移動してきたことがあり、このヘクスの西側のヘクスサイドの支配権は日本側にあったのでした。敵支配下のヘクスサイドを通過する渡河だったので、自軍支配下のヘクスサイドへの移動でも、自動的にshock attackすることになってしまったのでしょう。
このSSでも見えていますが、今日の戦闘から6ヘクスほど南で、南陽(Nanyang)からの日本軍部隊が西に渡河しようとしています。目的のヘクスは日本側支配下だし、通過するヘクスサイドも日本側支配下なので、この渡河では自動的にshock attackすることにはならないですよね。今日のリプレイを見たので、一抹の不安が残ります。
