昭和18年4月7日、ナウルに向かうコンボイがナウルの北2ヘクスのところでSS Graybackに攻撃され、Kiso xPB級(tonnage 830)のPB Heimei Maru(VP 3)が沈没しました。これまで、ラバウルやクエゼリンにサプライを輸送したコンボイは、ナウルに立ち寄ってresourceを積んでから本土に戻っていました。そろそろナウルのresourceは放置の方向にすべきでしょうかね。
ミートキーナは今日も75機の爆撃機による空襲を受け、その後に4月1日に続く2回目の陸戦がありました。前回と比較すると、連合軍の地上部隊は11th Indian Divisionが増強されています。そのため、前回の素のAVは614対141、修正AVが1126対2170、オッズ1対2でしたが、今回は素のAVが998対133、修正AVが1507対310、オッズが4対1になってしまいました。
日本側の修正AV値が2170から310へと下がってしまったのが不思議です。陸戦直前の第112連隊のインフォメーション画面を比較してみると、歩兵分隊やサポートにdiabledが含まれるようになり、disruptionとfatigueも少し増えていますが、ミートキーナへのprepは99から100に増えています。それと2回の戦闘で異なる点はミートキーナ基地のfortificationのレベルが1低下したことですが、それだけでこんなに修正AVが低下するんでしょうか??いずれにせよ、ゆゆしき事態です。8.4.2.2 GROUND COMBAT RESULTSには、
最終的な攻撃オッズによっては、防御施設が破壊されたり、基地が奪取されたり、また防御側が退却したり降伏したりすることがある。部隊の疲労度、地形、混乱の程度、経験値、士気、そして指揮官のleadershipが攻撃時の火力、損害、攻撃のオッズに影響する。戦闘による損害には、兵や砲や車輌の破壊や故障(disabled)も含まれる。disabledとなった兵・武器は攻撃時に火力を発揮できず、破壊されるかもしれない。disabledとなった兵・武器(部隊のインフォメーション画面でカッコ内にその数が示されている)は治療・修理されて正常に復することもある(それにはサプライと後方要員のサポートと疲労度が低いことが必要だが)。そのヘクスに存在する一方の地上部隊のすべてがdisabledになってしかも退却できなければ、それらは破壊されてしまう。
戦闘終了時に計算されたオッズによっては、地上戦によって基地が奪取されることがある。防御施設のレベルが高いほど、基地を奪取することが難しくなる。基地を奪取するには、算出されたオッズが防御施設のレベル+2以上になることが必要である。
例えば、防御施設のレベルが5の基地を奪うには、7対1のオッズを要する。
主を変えた基地の施設(訳注：防御施設ではない油田とかHIとかですね) は、占領される前に、被害を被ることがある。被害を被る確率と被害の程度は、防御側に工兵が存在すると大きくなる。
防御施設のレベルは敵の攻撃によって低下することがある。戦闘のオッズが1対1以上だと、そのヘクスの防御施設のレベルが1低下する。攻撃する部隊のすべてがShock AttackかあるいはBombardment Attackをすると(訳注：砲兵はshock attackをできない仕様。だから、shock attackをできる部隊はすべてshock attackを、shock attackをできない部隊はすべてbombardment attackをするとという意味か)、攻撃のオッズあたり1ずつ防御施設のレベルが低下する。つまり、4対1のオッズなら防御施設のレベルを4低下させる。基地への攻撃に戦闘工兵が参加していると、一日あたり1レベルだけ防御施設のレベルを余計に低下させることができ、基地の奪取がより容易になる。
とあります、今回の陸戦でミートキーナのfortificationは4に低下しました。一回の陸戦で1ずつfortificationが下がりそうですから、あと2回の戦闘でfortificationが2に低下します。今後の陸戦でも4対1のオッズが続くとすると、fortification 2になればミートキーナは陥落します。連合軍も数日休んでから戦闘再開するつもりでしょうから、4月中旬にはそうなりそうです。
