Tuyun占領

昭和17年10月20日、漢口からの空挺作戦でTuyunを占領しました。漢口からなのは、この近くにaviation supportの充分な数がいる空港がなかったからです。連合軍部隊はこのTuyunから貴陽(Kweiyang)方面に撤退していたので、無血占領でした。

同日、父島沖でラバウル向けのサプライを積んだ船団がSS Gurnardに攻撃され、xAK Kyokusei Maruが沈没しました。日本の商船の沈没は8月13日以来のことです。SS Gurnardは同じTFをこのターンにもう一回攻撃して、魚雷が不発でした。昭和18年になってdud率が低下すれば、1ターンに2回の攻撃で2隻沈められることも頻発しそうな予感がします。また、本州とラバウルを結ぶこの航路は、深海ヘクスばかりなのと商船の航行数が少ないので、シンガポール航路よりもずっとASWの手当が後回しになっています。

かわりに、オーストラリア西北岸のDerby港にいたAM Gympieをクーパンからの空襲で沈めました。なんで日本の制空権下のこんな港にいたのかというと、前ターンにDerbyに増援されてきたからのようです。
