CAPのいない奇妙な空模様

今日、昭和17年10月27日に行われた空戦は全部で28回で、詳細は下記のコンバットレポートの通りですが、まとめると表のようになります。この表を見てとても特徴的なのは、双方ともほとんどCAPを上げていない点です。あしたのジョーではありませんが、ノーガード戦法です。

私がCAPを上げていない理由は、sweeperがCAPに対して圧倒的に有利なので、どうせCAPを上げていても、相手の戦闘機のexpとスキルを上昇させる材料にしかならないと感じるからです。連合軍側がCAPを上げていないのも同じ理由からだと思います。例外的にAkyabにはCAPが上がっていましたが、Akyabへはかなり久しぶりの空襲だったからかなと思います。でも今日の空戦で飛行機が破壊されているのはこのAkyabだけというのが、現在の状況を象徴していますね。

sweeperがCAPに対して圧倒的に有利になってしまうのは、周知の通りの高度の問題が一つ。もう一つは、地上レーダーが機能していない問題があるからでしょう。現状だと敵襲は目視での探知なので、来襲まで長くても10分くらいしか余裕がありません。そこからスクランブルしても、上昇途中で敵のsweeperはdiveしての攻撃をかけることができます。これでは高度差の不利がもろに響いてしまいます。次のパッチで地上レーダーの問題が解決すれば、優秀なレーダーを持つ連合軍側は数十分の余裕を持ってスクランブルできるようになるでしょうから、現在のようにCAPが一方的に不利な戦いをすることはなくなるでしょう。でも、日本側の地上レーダーにもそれを期待できるのかどうかは分かりません。

こういう奇妙な状況下でもやはり連合軍の方が有利だと感じます。Flakの性能の差、また爆撃機の爆弾搭載量とDurabilityの格差とから、日本側の方が空襲の際の高度をより高くせざるを得ません。中国戦線では6000フィートで存分に爆撃できますが、それ以外の連合軍基地に対してはFlakが少ないところで1万1千フィート、3桁のGunがある基地には1万6千フィートくらいでしょうか。こうするとFlakで落とされることは減りますが、対空砲火にさらされると爆撃の命中率が低下する効果があるのかも知れません。また、高く飛ぶほど爆弾の命中率が低下するので、相手の飛行場に与えるダメージも日本側の方が劣ります。しかも破壊された飛行場の修復能力にもかなりの差がありますから、今日爆撃を受けた飛行場でも、連合軍側のAkyab, CookTown, Imphalは飛行機がたくさんいますが、日本側のMagwe以外のMandalay, Meiktila, Myitkyinaには地上での破壊を避けるために少数の機体しか配置していません。

今日は、珍しく日本の潜水艦の魚雷の不発もみられました。DD相手だとはずすことのほうがずっと多いのに、せっかく当てて不発とは。

日本の物流について2点

フォーラムのThe War RoomにIJ production mistakesというかなり長く伸び続けているスレがあります。内容はと言うと、日本側を持ってPBEMを始めた人が、開戦後5ヶ月間のああすれば良かったと反省する点や疑問点を披露して、ベテランがアドバイスしています。ウォーゲーム好きな日本人なら当然知っていそうな日本や日本陸海軍に関するあれこれを知らない人が日本側を持つと苦労するんだなというのが分かるスレです。なので、日本人が読んで参考になる点が多いとは言い難いのですが、それでもいくつか目を惹くレスがついています。

Post#:108　中国中央の鉄道網とそれを結ぶ主要な道路を完全に支配すると、oilとresourceが大連まで流れると報告している人たちがいる。私自身はまだ中国を掃討しきれていないけれども、もしそれが本当なら日本にとって仕事はずっと簡単になる。史実と比べると、ファンタジーに思えるくらいに。

Post#:132　このことはフォーラムのどこかで読んだ記憶がある。でもきっと、これは起こりえないことだろう。もし誰かが実際に経験したんでなければ、都市伝説の一種に過ぎないと思う。シンガポールからサイゴンやハノイなどなどの拠点を次々と経由して大量のoilなどが輸送されて行くなんてあり得ない。こう書いてるだけで笑い出したくなっちゃうくらいだ。

#132は#108に対するレスです。#132の発言者がフォーラムのどこかでと書いているのは、やはりThe War RoomにあったFuel efficiencyというスレだと思います。そのスレのPost#20で、シンガポールから大連どころではなく釜山までresourceが輸送されると発言している人がいました。彼はその証拠のスクリーンショットを週末にはアップするとも発言していて、私も非常に期待して待っていたのですが、1ヶ月以上経った現在に至ってもまだアップされていません。なので、彼の発言は根拠なし。私が目を通しているAARはごく少数ですが、もしAARの方でシンガポール→大連が実現している記載があれば、このスレに参加している人がきっと引用してくるはずだと思います。なので、#132の人の言うとおり、シンガポール→大連の陸上輸送は夢物語に過ぎないのでしょう。ただ、香港→大連ならば以前のエントリーで紹介したように、たしかに陸上輸送されますが。

Post#:112　supplies, resources, fuel, oilという4種類の物資は二つの隣接する港の間で毎日、自動的に輸送される(マニュアル212ページ)。輸送される量は、suppliesとresourcesの場合には小さな方の港の規模の500倍、fuel and oilは小さな方の港の規模の100倍になる。従って、対象となる重要な港については拡張した方がいい。例えば、対馬を規模4(これが最高)まで拡張すれば、日本と朝鮮半島の釜山との間で、suppliesとresourcesは毎日2000ずつ、fuelとoilは毎日400ずつ輸送される。

そう言われてみるとそうですね。うちの対馬は開戦以来、港の規模3で放置してありました。少しでも物流の円滑化につながるのであれば、明日からでも規模4へとインフラ整備してみましょう。
