昭和17年2月17日、釜山から19師団を輸送してきた船団のxAK Tamon Maruがパレンバンで揚陸中に“runs aground”したと報告されました。座礁したという報告を見るのは初めてのような気がします。護衛のSC一隻とともにEscort TFを組んで、対岸のバンカ島Muntokに向かわせましたが、被害が増大することもなく済みました。このあとはシンガポールに向かわせる予定です。
2月18日も2つのTFがパレンバンへの揚陸を行いました。すでに海岸堡を確保してあるので、最初の上陸よりは被害が少なくてもいいと思うのですが、”832 Coastal gun shots fired in defense.”と”846 Coastal gun shots fired in defense.”と多数の砲弾を受け、大きな被害を受けました。1ターンのうちに揚陸を複数回実施しますが、2つのTFとも初回の揚陸時の反撃が最多のようです。対策としては、速度別のTFに仕立てて向かわせるよりも、なるべく一つのTFにまとめて揚陸すべきですね。また反撃してきた75mm CD Gunは、もともとパレンバン駐屯のPalembang Base Forceに8門、Padang Base ForceとSabang Base Forceには2門ずつで合計12門のようです。それで800回以上も射撃できるものなのかどうかが不思議。
シンガポールのヘクスにまで連合軍の潜水艦が侵入してきています。これからもシンガポールからパレンバンに揚陸のためにTFを送る予定ですが、連合軍の潜水艦や水上艦による被害を避けるため、この海域にはASWと水上艦のTFをパトロールさせています。今日はASW TFによる爆雷攻撃で合計3隻に、エンジンにまで及ぶsevere damageを与えました。でもなかなか沈没はしませんね。このゲームではまだ連合軍潜水艦の沈没音をきいていないかも。
スマトラ島南端のOosthavenにはしょっちゅう連合軍の艦船が停泊しているのに、陸攻がなかなか攻撃してくれなくてやきもきしています。今日は珍しく攻撃を実施してくれて5隻のxAKを撃沈しました。何を運んできていたのやら。5隻とも開戦後アデンに増援される貨物船なので、インドかまたは英連邦軍の増援兵力をはこんできたんでしょうね。
