エンジン在庫ボーナスの検証的な試み

昨日のエントリーで、エンジンの在庫が多くなると新機種のR&Dにボーナスがあるらしいということを紹介しました。ちょうど昭和17年3月30日、A6M5の生産開始が一ヶ月早まったので、その効果をチェックしてみました。なお、Reluctant Admiral modを使用しているので、新機種の生産開始予定時期などに素のグランドキャンペーンとは異なる点があるかもしれません。
A6M5はA6M2-N Rufe(二式水戦)のアップグレード対象機種です。二式水戦の生産開始月は昭和17年4月と早いので、規模30のR&D工場を5つ用意しました。そして、修理が完了され次第、R&D対象機種をA6M5に変更しました。その結果、A6M5の稼働中R&D工場(すべて修理済み)の規模合計は、86ターンに30、89ターンに60、103ターンに90、106ターンには150となりました。ここから産出されるR&Dポイントは
(30x3+60x14+90x3+150x10)/30=81
で、81点になります。エンジン在庫数によるボーナスのスレの存在に気付いたのは昨日のことです。しかし、現用機であるA6M2の損失数が予定よりずっと少なく、生産を停止していたため、A6M5の使用するエンジンであるHa-35の在庫はかなり積み上がっていて、6ターン前から500を超えていました。エンジン在庫によるR&Dボーナスの1点を加味すると合計のR&Dポイントは
1x6+(30x3+60x14+90x3+150x10)/30=87
で、87になります。生産開始が一ヶ月早まるのはR&Dポイントが100になってからで、どちらの計算結果もそれには足りません。でも、規模30の工場もたまには1ポイントではなく2ポイントのR&Dポイントを産出する仕様ですから、エンジン在庫によるR&Dボーナスを加味した87点の方がそれらしい感じがしますね。
同じく昭和17年3月30日、ハワイ島Hiloの南距離12ヘクスの地点で、I-170がAP Hendersonを雷撃しました。情けないことに魚雷は2本ともはずれ。魚雷はこの2本が最後だったので、艦長は水上砲戦を選択して10センチ砲弾を7発命中させ、火災発生・死傷者28名と報告されました。AP Hendersonは昭和18年6月にAPAに改装できる貴重な客船なので、ぜひ沈めたかったのですが、残念ながら沈没音はきかれず。反対にAP Hendersonの5インチ砲弾を4発も浴びて、Sys 12, Flt 29(1), Eng 7とそれなりのダメージを受けてしまいました。何ともしまらない一戦で、魚雷を外したことについては艦長を罵倒したくもなります。でも、I-170は開戦以来この辺りを狩り場にして、魚雷をすべて使い尽くすまで戦ってくれたのでねぎらってやるべきなんでしょう。ASのいるクエゼリンに戻れば、完全に修理ができるダメージではありますし。それにしても、連合軍側が兵員を輸送しているAPまでも独航させていることにあらためて驚かされました。このゲームをプレイしている皆さんは、客船や貨物船に護衛をつけずに航海させていますか?私が護衛なしで航海させたのは、開戦後数ターンの本土周辺海域くらいで、あとはごく数例を除いて護衛を付けています。貧乏性なので、もったいなくて独航させる勇気がありません。
その後、ルーガンビルにまたまた連合軍の艦砲射撃がありました。こんどBB Warspiteを基幹とした英蘭艦隊でした。サプライを陸揚げしていたPB Tokati Maruが撃沈され、二式大艇一機破壊、死傷者120名などの被害が出ました。連日の艦砲射撃で、滑走路 97、飛行場施設 47、港 65のダメージとなっています。これだけ滑走路や港が叩かれていても、哨戒飛行ができる水上機は日本側にとってはなくてはならないものですね。
