昭和18年2月13日、偵察や爆撃を繰り返したためか、ラシオに向かっている中国軍が9部隊の人員が25260名と、昨日の2倍以上と報告されました。残念ながらラシオから東の三叉路のヘクスに行く作戦は無理です。ここは地形ボーナス3倍のJungle+Roughのせいか、Helen 37機の爆撃で31名しか死傷者が出ませんでした。あいかわらず、ゼロ戦とのco-ordinateは全然ダメ。
連合軍側はラシオ攻略にかなり本気になっているのか、今日はラシオにとても大きな空襲がありました。日本側がCAPを上げていないことは織り込み済みなので、戦闘機はP-38G Lightningが14機参加しただけでしたが、爆撃機は合計で187機(Wellington Ic x 38、B-25C Mitchell x 28、Liberator II x 27、B-17E Fortress x 42、B-17F Fortress x 28、B-24D Liberator x 24)の大空襲でした。
被害は、Airbase hits 28、Airbase supply hits 21、Runway hits 242で、飛行場の機能を停止させることが目的なら、過剰な戦力の投入ぐらいの被害でした。また、駐機してあったKi-46-II Dinahが3機地上で破壊されました。パイロットの被害もWIA 1名で、この81st Sentaiはラングーンに避難させて再建することにしました。
このところ、ラシオは平常だと一日にサプライを45トン程度消費していましたが、昨日から今日にかけては1021トン減少しました。500 lb爆弾一発のサプライ破壊量を125トンとすると、21発の命中で2625トンになるので、それよりはかなり少なめ。ちょうど、シンガポール方面からサプライが送られてくる日で、少なめに見えているのかも知れません。
ビルマ方面では、このところしばらく本格的な空襲がありませんでした。これからラシオへ連日の爆撃キャンペーンを始めるために四発爆撃機部隊を休養させていたのかも知れません。もしそうなら、爆撃によってラシオをはじめビルマが干上がってしまわないように、シンガポール、ラングーン、モールメンにせっせとサプライを運び込まないといけませんね。
