昭和18年2月14日は、良くないことばかり。まずはポートモレスビーに夜間空襲がありました。一機だけB-25C Mitchellが爆撃しに来たわけですが、こちらのCAPの状況などの様子見なのかも知れません。12月13日以来夜間空襲がなかったので、Ki-45 KAIa Nickは訓練していて、CAPは上げていませんでした。以前のB-17はポートモレスビーから14ヘクスのTownsvilleから出撃して爆撃に来ていました。しかし、このB-25C Mitchellはポートモレスビーから9ヘクスのCooktownからのようです。昨日までこのCooktownには戦闘機しかいなかったのですが、今日はご覧の通り、81の爆撃機がいると報告されました。これからポートモレスビーは叩かれ続けることになりそうです。
マラッカ海峡の北側でDD ShirakumoがSS KXVIIIに雷撃されました。即沈没にはなりませんでしたが、Sys 40, Fld 79(55), Eng 1(0), Fire 1と浸水の被害が大きく、Sysダメージが40もあるのでシンガポールまで行くのはちょっと心配。距離2ヘクスのプーケットに入港させて、まずはSysダメージを減らそうと思います。AR Yamabiko Maruがバリクパパンにいるので、連れてこようと思います。でも、バリクパパン周辺にも連合軍SSが多いのでみつからないといいのですが。
今日もラシオには、戦闘機10機と爆撃機195機の爆撃がありました。今のところはすべて飛行場爆撃で、Airbase hits 32、Airbase supply hits 7、Runway hits 364の被害です。昨日に比較してサプライの量が488トン減り、在庫は15738トンになりました。1ヶ月続くと干上がりそう。
ルンガにいたKi-49-IIa Helenが設定のミスでルーガンビルに空襲に行ってしまいました。Santa Cruz諸島に連合軍TFが現れたら爆撃をと思ってNaval Attackにしてありました。でも、CAPのいるルーガンビルやVanua Lavaまでは行かないように、Maximum Rangeを11にしてあったはずなのですが、設定をいじった時に13になってしまい11に戻し忘れていたようです。コンバットリポートには6機撃墜となっていますが、帰り道で墜落したのもあわせると10機の損失のようです。KIA 3名、MIA 7名とパイロットの被害も多数。そして、Helenとco-ordinateできずに、先に護衛のA6M2だけでルーガンビルに突撃してしまいました。高度11000でsweepしたみたいなことになり、CAPのF4F-4 WildcatとF4U-1 Corsairの合計40機に叩かれて、KIA 6名、MIA 3名とやはり多数の戦死者がでました。相手の人は今日のリプレイをみて、何をするつもりだったのかと疑問に思うに違いありません。
今日のリプレイの最後に、アバダン・カラチ航路でSS I-27がML No. 247を撃沈しました。Faimile B級(tnnage 86)の小さな小さな船ですが、今日唯一の戦果です。
