Perthに不穏な動き

 昭和18年1月25日、ASW戦闘は6回ありました。その中で被害の発生したもの2つを紹介する。まずスマトラの北方でDD HatsukazeがSS 024を攻撃。リポートを見るとhits 11, heavy damageとなっています。たしかにリプレイ中にも2発命中していて、severe damageと表示されました。でも、残りの9発は命中ではなく、near missの時に発生するtake some waterを勘定したもののようです。攻撃終了直前にも潜水艦の艦長はevades patternをしましたから、水中の機動も十分に可能な程度のダメージのようで、きっと沈まないのでしょう。また昼のフェーズになってから、豊原から南西2ヘクスで xAKL Yamabuki MaruがSS S-31に雷撃されました。xAKLなのに魚雷一本命中で即沈没にはならなかったのですが、リプレイ中にダメコンに失敗した旨が表示されて、Fltダメージ 96です。豊原まで行けると思いますか?



Taung GyiからChittagongへの空襲を実施しました。今日はsweepが27機、20機、14機、27機、9機とこまぎれに行ってしまって、A2Aの損失機数はKi-44-IIa Tojo21機に対して、Hurricane IIc Trop 10機、P-38 Lightning 1機、 P-40E Warhawk 2機とかなり悪い成績です。日本側戦闘機は帰投途中に落ちたのもA2Aの損失に含まれていそうなのに対し、自基地上空で戦った連合軍側はその分がops lossにカウントされていると思われるので、総合すると互角の損失機数にはなります。しかし、KIA 10名、WIA 2名、MIA 9名とパイロットが大量に死傷したので、今日が失敗なのは明らかです。パイロットの死傷数が多い戦隊と少ない戦隊がはっきり分かれたのは、co-ordinateの失敗から先に到着してしまった戦隊の死傷者が多めになっているのでしょう。




そして、4日前のエントリーで紹介した空襲計画と同じように、今日も爆撃機・護衛戦闘機は飛んでくれませんでした。やはり、primary missionがnaval attackになっているからだめなのでしょうか。でも、今日みたいに偵察機が敵基地には戦闘機が51機と報告しているのに、それ以上の数が迎撃してくることもあるので、先にsweep、次いで爆撃というパターンが崩れると、さらに大きな飛行機の損失をを被りそうな機がして心配なんですよね。次回、もう少し守りの弱めの基地への空襲でprimary missionをAF attackにして試してみようかと思います。



オーストラリア西岸のPort Headlandには二式大艇装備の801Ku T-2が駐屯しています。ふだんはReconを訓練しているのですが、時々実際に偵察させています。その801Ku T-2の二式大艇が、今日はオーストラリア南西のパースにBBが5隻もいると報告してきました。10日くらい前に偵察した時には艦船が一隻もいなかったのに!! ほんとにBBが5隻もいるのだとすると、蘭印東部への砲撃を考えているのかも知れません。また、今後CVやAPやAKがパースに出現するようなら、上陸作戦の前兆です。しばらく注視したいと思います。
