ラングーンに続々上陸



昭和17年2月27日、アンダマン諸島北西でBB長門のTFが xAKL Wosangを撃沈しました。昨日、アンダマン諸島の北端のヘクスでみかけた連合軍TFはこのxAKLだったようです。軽く一蹴したのは良かったのですが、DD五月雨とDD江風が衝突してしまいました。DD五月雨はSys 1, Flt 40(40), Eng 30(24)と、沈むことはないでしょうが大きなダメージを受けています。被害の大きさから見て、江風が五月雨の横っ腹にぶつかったんだと思います。下手人の江風には五月雨をシンガポールまで護衛してもらうことにしました。

DD Samidare collides with DD Kawakaze at 46 , 54 
先日読んだCollisions...というスレでは衝突しやすい条件が検討されていました。それによると
  1. TFに含まれる艦船の数。数が多いほど衝突が起きやすくなる。
  2. TFの速度。最高速度だと衝突の起きる確率が高くなる。
  3. TFの行動。ある地点から別の地点まで貨物をゆっくり運ぶTFよりも、戦闘に従事しているTFの方に衝突が起きやすい。
  4. ランダムな要素。
なのだそうです。このTFは戦艦1、重巡洋艦3、駆逐艦6の水上戦闘TFとしては標準的な数でした。また戦闘に従事したのはたしかですが、xAKL一隻相手の戦闘であたふたして衝突しちゃうのは困ったものです。
ラングーン港にはHDMLが数隻いるのが偵察情報で判明していました。昨日の歩兵第113聯隊の上陸は連合軍にとってはsurpriseだったそうで妨害はありませんでした。しかし今日はHDMLが反撃してきました。いちおうこれは予想していて、上陸船団とは別に駆逐艦2隻のTFをラングーンのヘクスでパトロールさせていたのですが、合計3回の水上戦闘のうち、最初の2回は同一の上陸船団が対HDML戦を繰り返すという形になってしまいました。1回目の戦闘で護衛のE3隻が砲弾を使い切ってしまったようで、2回目の戦闘ではご覧のようにxAKが反撃して、HDMLを2隻沈めました。HDMLはHarbor Defense Motor Launchの略だそうで、 港内で陸と軍艦の間の人の移動や、食料品などの輸送積み込みをする交通船のようなものなのでしょうね。PTボートのような強敵ではなかったことと、昨夜はmoonlight 96%と明るかったのでこういう結果になったのだと思います。そして、こういった戦闘を経験するとexpが上昇する仕様で、この画面に名前が表示されている6隻のxAKの夜間のexpは最高50とかなりのレベルに達しました。戦闘艦ではありませんが、きっと夜間の衝突の回避や、雷撃の発見回避や、ダメコンなどに効果があるものと思います。その後、第20師団、第2師団、歩兵第56聯隊は粛々と上陸を始めました。
昨日、ラングーンの東隣のペグーには連合軍の兵員が1060名いると報告されていました。ペグーは海に面していないので上陸の心配がありません。空挺作戦に備えればいいという判断で、ずっと以前からこのくらいの兵員数の配備が報告されてきました。昨日のスクリーンショットを見ていただくと、そのペグーの連合軍地上部隊が移動を始めていることがお分かりいただけると思います。これまでペグーの連合軍部隊に動きはなかったので、これは一つのチャンスかなと考えて、バンコクの空挺部隊を降下させることにしました。
空挺降下の前にまずはバンコクから爆撃を実施。85機のKi-21-IIa Sallyの爆撃で死傷者312名。うちわけはSquads: 6 destroyed, 25 disabled、Non Combat: 7 destroyed, 35 disabled、Guns lost 16 (2 destroyed, 14 disabled)、Vehicles lost 24 (7 destroyed, 17 disabled)とかなりの被害を与えることができました。これならやれるかなと思いましたが、修正オッズは3対29で惨敗。敗因としては、連合軍側には工兵ばかりではなく4th Burma Rifles Battalionという歩兵部隊が配備されていたこと、鉄道で移動しようとしていたのは連合軍の4部隊の中の1部隊だけだったこと、空挺部隊はポートブレアにprepしてあって急に思い立ったペグー攻略には向いていなかったことなどで、やはり無理筋だったようです。しかしこの1st Raiding Rgtはダメージを受けてSquadsが10分隊disabledになりましたが、destroyedになったものは一つもなし。このまま数ターンここで耐えてくれればラングーン攻略後に援軍がやってくるという「遠すぎた橋」状態です。ラングーンに上陸した部隊に機甲部隊は含まれていませんが、はたして間に合うのかどうか。
