兵員輸送中のコンボイが雷撃される


昭和18年3月5日、オーストラリア西岸でI-165がSS S-40に雷撃されて沈没しました。日本の潜水艦ばかりが雷撃されて、連合軍の潜水艦が雷撃されるシーンを全然見かけません。今回の出来事も夜間でしたし、やはりレーダーで探知できているかどうかの違いなのでしょう。そしてリプレイ中、こんな風に右にずれて表示されました。うちでは、潜水艦同士の雷撃シーンはいつも右にずれて表示されます。ウインドウモードにしているせいでしょうか。


夜が明けて、Butuanからチモール島のLautemまで木村支隊を輸送していたコンボイがSS Grampusに2回攻撃され、AK Kimishima MaruとPB Kyo Maru #8が大きなダメージを受けました。リプレイ中には沈みませんでしたが、両方とも火災が鎮火していないし、浸水被害もかなりのものです。南東1ヘクスの距離のZamboangaに向かわせましたが、助かりそうな気がしません。LCUを輸送中のTFが被害を受けたのは、緒戦の頃以来で久しぶりです。



ビルマのKalemyo東の英軍部隊に空から攻撃しました。ビルマの飛行場は連合軍にしょっちゅう爆撃されるので、Ki-49-IIa HelenはタイのChiang Maiから、sweepと護衛のKi-44-IIa TojoはビルマのTaung Gyiから出撃しました。連合軍も空襲を予想していたようでLRCAPがいましたが、2波のsweepで連合軍戦闘機を2機(Trackerでは3機)撃墜できました。しかし、戦闘機の数が不足したためか、またはChiang Mai飛行場の規模が3(4に拡張中 95%)しかないためか、爆撃の2波のうち1波はco-ordinateがうまくなく護衛なしで行ってしまい、Ki-49-IIa Helenが2機損失、パイロットのWIA1名の結果となりました。多少の犠牲はあっても、英軍部隊の移動を遅らせるためにここの爆撃は続けざるを得ないでしょう
