ラングーンへの機雷で2隻沈没1隻大破1隻炎上中

昭和17年10月24日、ラングーンの南西に隣接するヘクスで、ASW TFとラングーンにサプライを輸送するTFの合計4隻が機雷に接触し、PB Santos Maru(VP 10、2780トン)とxAK Toei Maru (VP 9、4675トン)が沈没しました。Sys 19, Flt 71(56)と大破したPB Nanpo Maruはモールメン港に、Sys 37, Flt 65(49), Eng 12(5), Fire 18と炎上中のPB Taian Maruはラングーン港にdisbandしました。

10月12日にもパレンバンへの入口部に機雷を敷設され2隻沈没3隻大破という大きな被害を受けましたが、同じような被害が繰り返されてしまいました。潜水艦に機雷を敷設される事態を避けるため、ASW TFにラングーン周辺をパトロールさせていましたが、そのTF事態が機雷に接触してしまうのでは、まったく打つ手なしです。魚雷で沈めるより効率がいいのに味をしめて、連合軍はまたどこかで同じ事をしてくるでしょうね。機雷敷設を防げなかった場合を考えて、モールメンにDMSとAMc各一隻を常駐させてあるので、早速、掃海に向かわせることにしました。

10月12日にパレンバン入口部で触雷したうちの1隻、AO Tsurumi Maruのパレンバンでできる修理が完了しました。majorな浸水被害が31残っていますが、これはパレンバンでは修理できないので、Repair Shipyardのあるシンガポールに向かわせることになります。空船で行かせた方が魚雷攻撃を受けたときに沈む難いと思われますが、浸水被害31もあるとどうせ魚雷一本でも助からないでしょうから、パレンバンからシンガポールに行くのに空っぽのまま行かせるのはもったいないと考え、fuelを積載したところ満載量の8000トンまで積むことができました。majorな浸水被害というのはRepair Shipyardでないと修理できないわけですから、ドック入りしないと処置できない水面下の外板の大きな破孔とかなんだと思うんですね。それなのに8000トン満載できてしまうのが不思議です。このゲームでは貨物船にしてもタンカーにしても、ダメージがあっても積載量が減少しないのは仕様のようですが、WitP 2をつくる際には改善すべき点だろうと思います。

今日はほかにも潜水艦による被害があって、稚内から豊原に戻るコンボイがSS S-30に襲撃され、xAKL Takegawa Maru(VP 3、1900トン)に魚雷が2本命中して沈没しました。この航路は潜水艦の被害が多いので、燃料効率を考えずxAKLだけを配船していますが、それでも沈没が痛いのは変わりありません。ほんとに困ったもんです。
